Spring brings the season opening of Oklahoma River Cruises, an ideal summer activity for sightseeing through downtown OKC. Oklahoma City kicks off summer in a big way Memorial Day weekend. The 2012 Paseo Arts Festival fill the streets of downtown OKC’s Paseo Arts District with visual, performing, and culinary arts for a three day event. Enjoy the warming weather May 26th through the 28th, while you browse works of artists from Oklahoma and surrounding regions. The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum also kicks off summer 2012 Memorial Day weekend hosting the 22nd Annual Chuck Wagon Gathering & Children’s Cowboy Festival. Visit the National Cowboy Museum May 26th and 27th, to sample authentic chuck wagon cowboy grub, take a ride on a stagecoach or covered wagon and enjoy on stage singing and entertainment. Bring the family, kids have special hands-on activities in the children’s building and the museum is also open.

Plan now for a visit to the 2012 Oklahoma State Fair. Hosted at the State Fair Park west of downtown Oklahoma City, end your summer fun at the fair September 13th through the 23rd.
