Rodeos of Oklahoma
Old West Celebrations & PRCA Events
It’s rodeo season, and where better to experience all the roping, ranching and wrangling fun than Oklahoma? The Sooner State is home to plenty of PRCA rodeos, most of which are accompanied by parades, state fairs, and heritage celebrations.
Memorial Day Weekend brings many Oklahoma rodeos to the fairground or arena. Check out the Hinton PRCA Rodeo at the Crosstie Arena – set in the Great Plains region, just west of Oklahoma City between Weatherford and El Reno along Interstate 40. The Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo is also held over Memorial Day, this time in northern Oklahoma, just northeast of Tulsa, at the Will Rogers Stampede Arena along Historic Route 66.
Looking for a little Old West heritage with your rodeo? Head to the Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo in Guymon – a traditional PRCA rodeo in the Oklahoma Panhandle complete with royalty contests, carnivals, and the Pioneer Days Parade. Located in Guthrie, the 89er Days Rodeo – part of the Oklahoma '89er Day Celebration – is accompanied by a parade, carnival and chuck wagon feed. Yet another town along Route 66, Elk City is home to the PRCA Rodeo of Champions, a PRCA event followed by live music, dances, and Native American Pow-Wow Dancers.
If rodeos are your game, then Oklahoma is your state.
